Lumix GF1 photoblog

a collection of photographs that inspire me (Daniel), all made using the Lumix GF1 microfourthirds camera system, as well as GF1-related info and links.

“Sebastian” - Panasonic GF1, 20mm Pancake Lens

alliso:

I arrived in Norway on Sunday as a total zombie. A bunch of sleep later, and I was feeling great again. Monday we were notified that our shipments from the US didn’t arrive yet, so we had to the day to ourselves. I went on a road trip with some colleagues - we started in Andenes where the rocket range is, traveled south along the coast, across to another island and finally to Sortland on the mainland of Norway. The drive was spectacular, as you will soon see. I bought my new camera (Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 with the 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens kit) just before I left the country, so these are among the first few shots I’ve taken with it. I’m going to present my photographs just as they were taken, without any editing. They’re not wonderful, but I’m now re-learning all the photography I’ve studied over my lifetime. I haven’t used a manual control camera in quite some time now. Hopefully we will see my photography get steadily better over the course of my stay here!

More to come! The camera is definitely keeping my interest. I took did a run out to this point today (the picture just above) - it was amazing. The sun is always on the verge of just rising or just setting though - it’s usually quite dark, like a constant twilight. Next challenge - photographing the aurora. I hear it’s incredibly tricky!

Two favorites in one beautiful combination… the GF1 and Norway!

Many of us shoot to see the world more intimately. Or perhaps, to remember the world more intimately. At least I know I do. Curious, that. To get closer we have to stick a bunch of glass and metal and plastic between us and the world. But it works.

The new Lumix Micro Four Thirds camera was made official today!

The GF2 is Panasonic’s lightest, smallest interchangeable lens camera. It even comes in different colors and lens options (and is compatible with their 3D lens, omg!).

SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. GF2Diggity?

Yowza!

London 2010, first day of summer, i just used some ppshop for the ring effect and desaturation. The rest is just GF1 + 14-45

Hey all I’m selling one of my Panansonic Lumix GF1 Bodies.
Great condition with SGP Skin.
It’s up on ebay though I thought I’d throw a shout out to see if any of you cats were looking for a good camera.
P.S I’m in Australia.
